Randy Cillekens (originally a software developer) and Arjan Elbers (background in recruitment) start Getnoticed in Nederweert in Limburg. They build websites, including several specialist jobs websites that they run themselves, such as Hunterz.nl, Baanalsbeveiliger.nl and Baanindetechniek.nl.
The company stands out, gets noticed and welcomes its first employees. At the end of 2010 the company moves to new premises in Nederweert where it has more room to grow.
Just hard work and earn less, like in every start-up. All of our profit goes to a new coffee machine (haha).
The working-at and jobs websites get better and better. The company starts to attract bigger clients, such as PostNL and Essent. As a Flex Innovatie Fonds finalist, Getnoticed gains its first national exposure.
Website development continues to thrive. The company decides to sell its jobs websites and intensifies its focus on developing online recruitment websites. It builds more and more working-at, recruitment and jobs websites for clients throughout the Netherlands.
This year was apparently not that exciting?!
Entrepreneur Leon Brouwers invests in Getnoticed. This enables the company to accelerate its growth. Getnoticed takes on more staff, increases its revenues and profits and wins its first Gazelle award.
With more and more clients requiring assistance with marketing campaigns, Getnoticed acquires Neptunalis, an online recruitment marketing agency in Amsterdam that it has been working with successfully for years. With the acquisition, Getnoticed gains a new team of online recruitment marketers, a new director of sales and marketing (and fourth shareholder), Dirk Driessen, and a second office in Amsterdam. The company wins its second Gazelle award.
Getnoticed continues to grow and now has a team of more than 25 people. The ‘work for us’ website it develops for VDL (an international industrial and manufacturing company) wins Website of the Year (a bit like the Oscars for internet stars). The company wins its third Gazelle award and is a finalist for a Werf& Award (for effective labour market communication and recruitment). In tandem with all this growth, the directors decide to invest in progressive web app (PWA) technology, which uses the latest web capabilities.
Getnoticed celebrates its first decade in business with more than 30 colleagues. The company is now known nationwide as a specialist digital recruitment agency that works for clients such as VDL, SPIE, Gamma, Karwei, Fletcher Hotels, Scania, Van Lanschot Bankiers, Nuon, AMC and Heinz. The company wins its fourth Gazelle award.
Getnoticed acquires and incorporates The Next Crowd (fast temporary online recruitment solutions), and now offers both standard temporary and tailored permanent solutions. Founder Arjan Elbers publishes his first book, Het Recruitment Fundament [Fundamentals of Recruitment]. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Arjan and two other entrepreneurs launch Kiqit, a knowledge platform and online training environment for recruitment in the Netherlands and Belgium, with a growing community of more than 2,000 members.
